Listing criteria and how we collect data

Collection rules

• We only collect sell and buyback prices published on each shop's own website. Nothing is estimated, filled in or copied from other sites (Rakuten Ichiba prices come from Rakuten's official API, see below).
• Before collecting, we check each shop site's robots.txt and its terms of use. We skip any page robots.txt disallows, and sites whose robots.txt cannot be fetched (access refused).
• We only show prices each shop publicly lists on its own site, always with a link to the source page and the time it was fetched.
• Shops can ask us to stop showing or remove their prices; see the listing and corrections page (Japanese).
• Once a day (around 06:00 JST), with at least 5 seconds between requests.
• Order is by price only (sell: lowest first, buyback: highest first). Ads or partnerships never change the order or the "highest"/"lowest" labels.

Rakuten Ichiba prices

• Some prices come from Rakuten Ichiba through the official Rakuten Web Service API (Ichiba Item Search). They are the shops whose name starts with 楽天市場. Prices include tax but not shipping. Links to Rakuten are affiliate links; this never changes the order or the "lowest" label. Fetched once a day at no more than 1 request per second, with the fetch time shown; data older than 24 hours is not used.

What is and isn't listed

• Single cards are listed only for the 13 sets we track (M6A, M6, M5, M4, M3, M2A, M2, M1L, M1S, SV11B, SV11W, SV8A, SV2A); cards from other sets are dropped.
• Rows with no price or a price of ¥0 are dropped.
• Where a shop grades condition, we show the "Grade A" (状態A) price, or the first listed price if there is none; sealed boxes use the "New" (新品) price. Grading standards differ by shop.
• Items a shop marks as sold out are still shown, labelled "Sold out", as a price reference.
• Sell and buyback prices are shown separately. "Buyback ratio" is the highest buyback price divided by the lowest sell price.
• No card images are shown.
• If fewer than 1,900 rows, or fewer than 6 shops, are collected from the shops' own sites on a day (Rakuten Ichiba prices are not counted), the update is skipped and the previous day's site stays up.
• Pages for cards that drop out of the data are kept as "not currently listed" pages instead of being deleted.

Shops not currently collected

• Card Rush's buyback list (cardrush.media) refuses access from our collection server, so it is not collected (its sell prices are listed).

Latest data: prices.csv (shop, type, sell/buy, set, number, card name, rarity, condition, price, stock, source URL, fetch time; names are in Japanese. The first line is a comment with the update time).
